What does a rice manufacturer from India do?
A rice manufacturer from India buys paddy from farmers and processes it into export-ready rice: dehusking, de-stoning and cleaning, paddy separation, whitening, polishing, Sortex colour sorting, length grading, testing and packing. Indiafeast Millers carries out these steps at the Indiafeast rice processing unit in Taraori, Karnal, Haryana, and exports the finished basmati and non-basmati rice.
Who is Indiafeast Millers?
Indiafeast Millers Private Limited is a rice manufacturer and exporter from India, founded in 2021. It processes basmati and non-basmati rice at the Indiafeast rice processing unit in Taraori, Karnal, in India's basmati belt, and has shipped rice to importers in 14+ countries.
Where is the Indiafeast rice processing unit located?
The unit is at Shakhenpur, Nadana Road, Taraori, Karnal, Haryana-132116, India. Taraori lies in Haryana's basmati belt on NH-44 (GT Karnal Road), about 150 minutes from New Delhi by road.
What are the steps of rice processing at Indiafeast?
Regular rice passes through 8 stations: 1) dehusking, 2) de-stoning and cleaning, 3) paddy separation, 4) whitening, 5) polishing, 6) Sortex colour sorting, 7) length grading and testing, 8) packing. Parboiled (sella) rice is first soaked, steamed and dried in the husk before dehusking.
Which machinery is used in the rice processing unit?
The processing line runs on Buhler (Germany) and Satake (Japan) equipment: rubber roll shellers, gravity de-stoners and pre-cleaners, paddy separators, multi-break vertical whiteners, silky polishers, Sortex colour sorters and length graders.
Which basmati and non-basmati rice varieties does Indiafeast manufacture?
Basmati: 1121, 1509, 1718, 1401 and Pusa basmati. Non-basmati: long grain (IR64), parboiled rice, Sona Masoori, PR-11, Sharbati and Sugandha. Most varieties are available in raw, steam, golden sella, creamy sella, white sella, lemon sella and brown finishes.
What is the grain length of 1121 basmati rice?
1121 basmati rice has an average grain length of about 8.35 mm before cooking, one of the longest of all basmati varieties. 1718 is also around 8.35 mm, 1509 around 8.25 mm, 1401 around 7.45 mm and Pusa basmati around 7.20 mm. Final values are confirmed in the certificate of analysis for each lot.
What is the difference between raw, steam and sella rice?
Raw rice is milled from aged paddy without steaming and keeps the most aroma. Steam rice is lightly steamed before milling, so the grains stay firm and cook fluffy. Sella (parboiled) rice is soaked and steamed in the husk, which gives golden, creamy or white sella grains that are stronger and stay separate after cooking.
How is broken rice kept low?
Gentle multi-break whitening protects the grain, and length graders separate broken grains, so each lot meets the contracted broken percentage, typically 1–2% maximum for basmati rice.
What quality checks are done before export?
Every lot is tested for average grain length, broken percentage, moisture (12.5% max), purity (95% min), chalky and discoloured grains, foreign matter and pesticide residue against destination limits. Results are shared in a certificate of analysis (COA) with the export documents.
Which certifications and registrations does Indiafeast hold?
Indiafeast Millers is APEDA registered and FSSAI licensed, follows HACCP, GMP and food safety management system (FSMS) practices, offers halal certified rice on request, is a FIEO member and is D-U-N-S registered.
Which export documents come with each shipment?
Each shipment carries a certificate of analysis, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, with a halal certificate on request.
Which polish options are available?
Three polish grades: regular polish for a natural, matt surface; silky polish for a smooth sheen; and double polish for the brightest, glossiest grain on premium retail shelves.
What packaging and pack sizes are available?
Pack sizes from 500 g to 50 kg (500 g, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 26, 30, 40 and 50 kg) and jumbo FIBC bags of 500 kg to 1.2 MT, in jute, PP woven, BOPP, non-woven bags and vacuum pouches, plain, Indiafeast-branded or under the buyer's private label.
