1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They help the website work, remember your choices, and understand how visitors use it.
We also use similar technologies called local storage and session storage. They work like cookies but stay in your browser and are not sent with every page request. In this policy, "cookies" includes these technologies.
- First-party cookies are set by our website.
- Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose services we use, such as Google.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set time or until you delete them.
2. Types of cookies we use
Necessary cookies (always on)
These are needed for the website to work properly and securely, for example to remember your cookie choice. They do not collect information for marketing and cannot be switched off in our cookie settings. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the website may then not work.
Functional cookies
These remember choices you make to give you a smoother experience, such as not showing our enquiry pop-up again after you have sent an enquiry.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
These help us understand how many people visit our website, which pages they view and how they found us. The information is collected in a way that does not directly identify you. We use it only to improve our website and our service to buyers.
Advertising cookies
We do not currently use advertising or remarketing cookies on this website. If we start using them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
3. Cookies and storage on this website

wordpress_test_cookie | WordPress (Indiafeast) | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies. | Necessary | Session |
ifPopShown:[page] (session storage) | Indiafeast | Makes sure our enquiry pop-up appears no more than twice on each page during your visit. | Necessary | Until you close the browser tab |
ifFormFilled (local storage) | Indiafeast | Remembers that you have already sent an enquiry, so the enquiry pop-up is not shown to you again. | Functional | Until you clear your browser data |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another to count visits and page views. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_[ID] | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit (session) for website statistics. | Analytics | 2 years |
ifVid (local storage) | Indiafeast | A random, anonymous ID used to count how many different visitors see or close our enquiry pop-up. It is created only if you accept analytics cookies and is deleted if you reject them. | Analytics | Until you clear your browser data or reject analytics |
If you are logged in to the website as an administrator, WordPress also sets login cookies (for example wordpress_logged_in_* and wp-settings-*). These are not set for normal visitors.
4. Third-party services
Some parts of our website load content from other companies. When this content loads, those companies may receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): website statistics, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google Maps (Google LLC): the map in our website footer that shows our office location. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts (Google LLC): loads the fonts used on our website.
- flagcdn.com: shows small country flag images in our menus and forms.
- WhatsApp (Meta): the WhatsApp button only opens a chat when you click it. No WhatsApp cookies are set before you click.
5. Enquiry forms
Our enquiry forms do not use advertising cookies. When you use them:
- The details you type in (such as your name, company, email, phone number, country and product requirements) are sent to us by email through EmailJS and saved in our secure Google Sheet, so that our export team can reply to you.
- To help us reply in the right language, currency and time zone, and to protect against spam, the form looks up your IP address and approximate location (city and country) using ipapi.co or ipify.org. This is attached to your enquiry only if you submit it.
- We record basic, anonymous pop-up events (shown, closed, step reached, submitted, the page and device type) in our Google Sheet to understand how useful the pop-up is. A visitor ID is added only if you have accepted analytics cookies.
More details about how we use and protect enquiry data are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your consent
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner asks for your choice:
- Accept All: allows all the cookies described above.
